FOUR PEOPLE ARE DISPLACED TONIGHT AFTER THIS FIRE AT AN APARTMENT BUILDING IN MANCHESTER. IT STARTED AROUND FOUR O'CLOCK AT THE CORNER OF CENTRAL AND BEECH STREETS. THE FIRST FIREFIGHTERS TO ARRIVE REPORTED FLAMES COMING FROM THE BUILDING. CREWS WERE ABLE TO GET THE FIRE KNOCKED DOWN IN JUST 12 MINUTES... Four people were displaced after a fire at an apartment building in Manchester on Wednesday. It started around 4 p.m. at the corner of Central and Beech streets. The first firefighters to arrive reported flames coming from the building. Had this happened in the wee hours of the morning, it may get a little bigger and it may have turned into a bit bigger than what it was," said Batt. Chief Kenneth Proulx.No injuries were reported and the Red Cross is helping those displaced. A cause of the fire is not known.
