Oman Cricket: Assarain record five-wicket win over Al Turki

Muscat: Al Assarain recorded a five-wicket victory over Al Turki NMC in an Oman Cricket-organised Premier Division 50-over match on Friday.
After being asked to bat first, Al Turki NMC were all out for 194 in 48.2 overs. Ajay Lalcheta top scored with 47 runs while Shivpal Rana, Jayesh Odedara and Suraj Kumar contributed 36, 30 and 25 respectively.
For Assarain, Sindo Micheal took five wickets while Zeeshan Maqsood and Arif Hussain claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Assarain achieved their target in 44.2 overs losing five wickets. Nasir Iqbal top scored with an unbeaten 60. The other valuable contributions came from Sindo Micheal (38), Mohammed Nadeem (29 not out) and Sami-ur Rehman (27). Gopendra Bohara and Rohit Malik took two wickets each.

Enhance Eagles win
In an A Division match, MDC Enhance Eagles defeated IT Work by four wickets.
Batting first, IT Work managed to score 176 runs for nine in their allotted 40 overs. Shahid Nadeem scored 76 while Mudassir made 29.
Pradeep Kumar of MDC Enhance Eagles took four wickets and Sohail Iqbal claimed three.
In reply, Enhance achieved their target in 28.2 overs losing six wickets. Pradeep Kumar remained not out on 68 and Ikhtiar Kazmi scored 35 runs. Ihtesam Mohammed took three wickets and Farhan Afzal bagged two.

Fairtrade beat OCT Seeb
In a B Division match, Fairtrade defeated OCT Seeb by six wickets. OCT Seeb, batting first, put up 171 runs in 30 overs thanks to an unbeaten 40 Samir Al Balushi. Yousuf Al Balushi and Othman Al Zadjali put up 35 and 34 respectively.
For Fairtrade, Aadil Mohammed took three wickets and Anup Rajan bagged two wickets.
Fairtrade achieved their target in 24 overs. After losing two quick wickets, Nidhin Mohan (58 not out) and Mohammed Nadeem (54) were involved in a 111-run partnership. Aadil Mohammed’s quick 38 off 28 balls took Fairtrade to the victory.
For OCT Seeb, Yousuf Al Balushi took two wickets.

In a C Division match, Ernst & Young (EY) recorded an easy win over Landscape Architecture.
Batting first, Landscape put up 168 runs for the loss of three wickts in their allotted 20 overs thanks to a 114-run partnership between Prasad Peruli (70) and Chaitanya Ravindran (54).
In reply, Ernst & Young achieved their target in just 14.1 overs losing just one wicket thanks to an 87-run opening partnership between Attique Ahmed (82 not out) and Saud Haroon (36). Omar Sarfaraz remained not out on 45.
